Mark Strand, Pulitzer prize winner, former Poet Laureate, has had an amazing career as a poet. Blizzard of One was the book that won the Pulitzer, but any of his volumes of Selected Poems will give you a better idea of his scope. He has a new Selected Poems that came out in 2007 that adds some of the later poems.
If you like modern poetry, you can't miss reading Strand!
