ENGULFED is not as good as his other books: too many rambling anecdotes instead of unified essays/stories.

David Sedaris (born December 26, 1956) is an American essayist and radio contributor.

Sedaris was born in Johnson City, New York, and was raised in Raleigh, North Carolina. He first achieved prominence in 1992 with the radio essay The SantaLand Diaries on National Public Radio?s Morning Edition. It was also broadcast in the UK on Radio 4 in 1996.
