Book Seller World: “Bret Easton Ellis, born 1964, is both controversial and highly regarded. His notoriety stems from American Psycho, for which his American publishers, Simon and Schuster, paid a $300,000 advance and then refused to go to print after organised protests from women's groups and also from their own female employees. He is generally regarded to be the leading light in a loose group of lauthors known as Generation X. Three of his books have been adapted for the cinema and met with modest success.”
The RANDOM HOUSE author bio adds: "raised in Los Angeles .. a graduate of Bennington College and lives in New York City.”
