I have just started reading Poppy Day and was taken by the details of nature. I grew up on a farm and found myself remembering the details she spoke of.

I have read Wedding Ring and Lover's Knot. They include things that are very popular in the blog world, like simplicity and green issues. Not usually into Women's Issues, I enjoyed them very much.

I think Minnesota is a great book to read after Lauraine Snelling, or even Laura Ingalls Wilder.

about Tracie Peterson 2007-08-10 05:04:31

If you have watched the third DVD based on Janette Oke's Love Comes Softly series, you may find the Heirs of Montana Series by Tracie Peterson interesting. Or as I did you may like the read the books then watch the DVDs.

about Janette Oke 2007-08-09 04:48:12

Janette Oke is a great author to read if you enjoy Laura Ingalls Wilder. I found it a natural next step.

Between the books On the Banks of Plum Creek and By the Shores of Silver Lake you might consider reading Old Town in the Green Groves by Cynthia Rylant.
